Veerapandiyan
Veerapandiyan
Veerapandiyan is an action-packed masala thriller centered on the high-stakes protection of the Manimangalam temple jewels. Ranjith (played by Ranjeet), a ruthless thief, Nanjappa (Radha Ravi), and the temple's deceitful Dharmakartha (played by V.K. Ramasamy), plot to loot the 2-crore worth of jewels via a secret ancient subway. Standing in their way is Pandiyan (played by Sivaji Ganesan), the principled village president, and Manimaaran (played by Vijayakanth), the son of a local landlord.
The villains plan a complex web of deceit to remove their obstacles: they frame Pandiyan for murder and intensify a long-standing feud between his family and the landlords. While Inspector Shankar (disguised as Postman Naidu, played by Jaishankar) works undercover to expose the heist, Pandiyan and Manimaaran eventually realize they are being played against each other. The climax unfolds during the Chithra Pournami festival, where the heroes must navigate a collapsing underground subway and a fierce battle to save the temple's heritage and expose the true killers.
