Vaadagai Veedu
Vaadagai Veedu
Vaadagai Veedu is the story of Gauri (played by Sathyakala) and Rangan (played by Vijayan), two wounded lives brought together by loss and shared suffering. Through quiet conversations, Gauri speaks of her husband Raju (played by Suman) — a man who rescued her from a life of prostitution, married her, and later killed the man who publicly humiliated her, an act that led to years of imprisonment. Rangan, in turn, shares his own tragedy: a wife Radha (played by Reena) who abandoned him after chasing cinematic dreams, leaving his life hollow and directionless.
Finding comfort in each other's pain, Gauri and Rangan choose to live as brother and sister, building a bond rooted in compassion, restraint, and mutual sacrifice. The narrative reaches a turning point when Suman is released early from prison due to a successful court appeal and good conduct. Having met Rangan in jail, he learns of Gauri's whereabouts and unexpectedly arrives to see her. Unaware of his true identity, the neighbours and friends mistake him for a stranger Gauri intends to have an affair with. Tensions escalate when one of Rangan's friends, driven by suspicion and misplaced rage, attempts to kill the man.
In a tragic act of selfless clarity, Rangan realizes the truth — that the visitor is Gauri's lawful husband — and steps in to protect him, sacrificing his own life in the process.
