Porkkalam

Porkkalam is a dramatic social drama that unfolds in a rural village terrorized by 'Chinnapannai' Singaram (played by Vijayan), a ruthless landlord whose cruelty is enabled by his corrupt manager (played by Delhi Ganesh) and accountant (played by Kallapart). His inhuman oppression peaks when Muthaiyan (played by Sathaar), a Dalit man, is publicly humiliated for wearing footwear — a symbol of dignity denied to him. Though Muthaiyan petitions the Collector (played by M.G.C. Sugumar) and Manjula (played by Sathyakala) courageously bears witness, Singaram escapes punishment due to lack of legal proof.

The tragedy deepens when Manjula's father, burdened by debt, is forced to marry his daughter to Singaram. Manjula soon realizes the marriage is a calculated act of revenge by Singaram for her testimony. She finds a cautious ally in Babu, Singaram's son, who initially dislikes her but sympathizes when his father cruelly bars Manjula from attending her own father's funeral.

As Singaram's son Babu slowly develops compassion for Manjula and joins hands with Muthaiyan to reform his father, Singaram retaliates with brutal violence, killing Muthaiyan. His murder becomes the final spark that awakens the villagers, who rise together to confront oppression — turning long-suppressed anger into a fierce collective rebellion that threatens to burn down Singaram's empire.
