Oru Veedu Oru Ulagam

Oru Veedu Oru Ulagam tells the moving story of Gowri (played by Shoba), a young woman born into a strict Brahmin family. She yearns for higher education and comes under the tutelage of her divorced college professor Amalraj (played by Srikanth). Although her respect turns into affection, misunderstandings ensue, prompting her conservative father (played by Delhi Ganesh) to halt her studies.

Gowri's life takes a turn with a marriage arranged by family friend ARK (played by Major Sundarrajan), when she weds ARK's son Murali (played by Vijay Babu). For a time, Gowri enjoys a loving, progressive marriage—until tragedy strikes and Murali drowns in an accident. In the aftermath, her family enforces traditional widowhood upon her.

Thankfully, ARK intervenes, guiding Gowri toward a second marriage, defying entrenched orthodox norms. The film unfolds as a quiet, elegant exploration of love across caste divides, personal autonomy, and the courage to reject regressive traditions.
