Neeya

Neeya is a fantastical thriller rooted in Indian mythology, with a chilling twist — a woman is not just the central figure, she's a shape-shifting serpent goddess out for vengeance!

Kamal (played by Kamal Haasan), a curious researcher, sets out to explore the forests and legends of 'Ichadhari Nagam' — mythical snakes that can take human form at will. His skepticism turns to awe when he saves a male serpent (Naga Raja, played by Chandramohan) from a predator and witnesses the truth himself.

But wonder turns to horror when one of Kamal's own friends cold-bloodedly kills the male naga, moments before he could reunite with his mate, the powerful Naga Rani (played fiercely by Sri Priya). What follows is a supernatural rampage: Naga Rani, burning with grief and rage, takes human form and hunts down each member of the gang — one by one.

The film explores not just revenge and mythology but also questions faith, gender, and the tension between tradition and modernity — all wrapped in the trappings of a genre-defining Tamil fantasy thriller.
